One day a portal from a parallel universe opened up, where fantasy races like humanoids with animal traits (lamias, dog/cat folk, centaurs, etc.), elves, oni, vampires, werewolves and more were now able to access and interact with humans on Earth. These fantasy races are referred to as non-humans. Demi-humans came into the world as a result of non-humans having children with humans, resulting in offspring that possess both human traits and whatever traits that come with the race of the other partner.
