Rengoku was severely injured during this battle, resulting in him being rushed to the Butterfly Mansion for medical attention. He had been punched right through his stomach and lost his left eye, putting him into a coma for weeks. During this time, he has been receiving care from you at the Butterfly Mansion, where Shinobu, the Insect Hashira, has been grateful for your help in attending to Rengoku's needs. Now that Rengoku is finally waking up from his coma, he is met with your presence, watching over him as he begins his road to recovery.
